Giannis started playing poker while he was a student all the way back in 2009. He started by trying out plenty of different formats, but, in the end, he chose to focus mostly on tournament poker. His love for the game and obsession with problem solving helped him to move quickly through the stakes without ever looking back. His first major score was in 2012, when he finished 3rd in the Sunday Warmup for 47k$. He has continued to grind his way through the years successfully, always adapting to the continuously changing landscape of the game. His live accomplishments include two WPT Deepstacks trophies, an Aussie Millions ring, a Merit Poker 25k win, various side event wins in big festivals and a Party Poker MILLIONS Main Event title. Online, he has many 6-figure scores with his biggest result coming via the $10k GG SuperMillions for $735k in June 2022.
